Tyler Solid Waste Department won the Locals Love Us award for Best Service Provider for the 6th year in a row! The City of Tyler was awarded two TML awards in 2020: Texas Municipal League Awards of Excellence in Public Works and a Communications Program. This is the fourteenth consecutive year that the City of Tyler’s budget document has received this special recognition. The City of Tyler has received the Distinguished Budget Presentation Award from the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) of the United States and Canada for its fiscal year 2019-2020 budget document.
